- POSITION SUMMARY
- The Account Representative II position is a senior level insurance billing/follow-up position. It is fully remote optional. The Account Representative II is a mentoring position for the Account Representative I position. This position is a leader for the assigned payer, with much experience performing billing and follow-up for that payer, and must be very knowledgeable in regards to payer requirements. The Account Representative II is responsible for the interpretation of changes in payer requirements and ensuring the changes are relayed to the Account Representative I staff and applied appropriately. This position is responsible for filing compliant medical claims using various software programs. Works with hospital departments to request information needed to file compliant claims. Responsible for follow-up of claims filed to ensure timely and appropriate payment.

- Experience Requirements
- Two to Three (2-3) years experience in acute care hospital setting in third-party billing with extensive background in all payers along with previous electronic billing systems background is required. Must have very good understanding of acute care hospital setting in third-party billing with very good understanding of admitting and collection policies and procedures. Technical expertise in all aspects of health care benefits including HMO's, PPO, indemnity plans as well as Medicare, Medicaid, and other local and state programs preferred.
