CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT/COTA

  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • To identify qualifications, requirements, and responsibilities of a COTA. The COTA provides occupational therapy service under the direction and supervision of the registered occupational therapist. These services include contribution to, and participation in the assessment, intervention and documentation process.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
    • Licenses and Certifications Required
      • Current ND OT Assistant license in good standing required.
      • Basic Life Support (CPR) required within 30 days of hire.

      • An established pattern of good work habits and attendance.
      • Adequate physical strength.
      • Understanding and concern for other people.

      • Ability to establish rapport with clients, family members, co-workers, and other health professionals.
      • Ability to assume and carry out responsibilities assigned by the supervising therapist.
