The EMS Instructor (Advanced) will be assigned duties relative to all areas of EMS education and will be responsible to the EMS Education Coordinator for carrying out such duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Licenses and Certifications Required
Nationally Registered Paramedic
Eligible for EMT-P license in North Dakota - must obtain within 90 days
AHA Instructor of CPR/ACLS/PALS - must obtain within 90 days
Incident Command certification in North Dakota, preferred
PHTLS Instructor, preferred
Educational Requirements
EMT-Paramedic, as evidenced by licensure
Experience Requirements
Must have appropriate medical or allied health education, training, and experience
Knowledge about methods of instruction, testing, and evaluation of students
Must have field experience in the delivery of out-of-hospital emergency care
Must be knowledgeable on current national curricula, national accreditation, national registration, and the requirements for state certification or licensure
Special Skills or Training Requirements
Computer experience required
Microsoft Office experience preferred
Ability to work with a wide variety of people
Knowledge of current trends, developments, and concepts in pre-hospital care
