Description
Provide Specialty Pharmacy Technician services on a regular basis under the direction of the Pharmacist-In-Charge compliant with current standards of pharmacy practice, consistent with all State and Federal regulations. Provide quality and safe delivery of pharmacy services in the specialty setting. Assist Specialty Pharmacist in procuring specialty medications, providing specialty medications to patients subsequent to orders, billing specialty medications, and aiding in clinical service provisions as allowed by current law. Provide direction to Technician, Technician-in-Training, and Pharmacist Intern staff working with specialty medications on a daily basis, including, but not limited to, assignment of duties in specific work flow areas and rotation of duties. Provide assistant services to the Pharmacist-In-Charge and the Director of Retail Pharmacy.
Qualifications
• Licenses and Certifications Required • Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the state of North Dakota. • Educational Requirements • Education as required or accepted by the North Dakota State Board of Pharmacy for licensure. Required amount of acceptable continued education as evidenced by annual renewal of license by North Dakota State Board of Pharmacy. • Experience Requirements • At least 2 years related experience required. • Excellent customer service and team skills needed for interaction with pharmacy personnel, patients, medical staff, and phone help desk employees. • Special Skills or Training Requirements • Expertise in current pharmacy software and wholesale ordering systems. • Professional demeanor, courteous attitude, and excellent communication skills (oral and written) in order to accurately record information, orders, messages, or other data.
