LPN-Cardiac monitor technicians monitor/interpret the heart rhythm and patterns of patients throughout the hospital to detect abnormal pattern variations. Cardiac monitor technicians observe the cardiac monitor screen and listen for an alarm to identify any abnormalities. Cardiac monitor technicians will notify Nurses and Physicians when medical attention is needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Licenses and Certifications Required
Current or temporary LPN license in ND or compact LPN licensure.
BLS certification required within orientation period.
Educational Requirements
LPN as evidenced by licensure.
Experience Requirements
Medical background/terminology is preferred.
Stronger preference is given to applicants with rhythm experience.
Special Skills or Training Requirements
Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively and work in a team atmosphere.
