Description
Under the general direction of the Director CEPS this position is a registered nurse with knowledge and clinical experience in the care of injured patients who, in collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director (TMD), coordinates the interdisciplinary services and organizational systems necessary for optimal care of the injured patient, and oversees the educational, clinical, research, administrative, financial, performance improvement, and outreach activities of a trauma program following the American College of Surgeons (ACS) standards, North Dakota Department of Health/Trauma Standards and Trinity’s vision, mission, and values. This position requires knowledge and skill in professional nursing theory and practice, trauma care and trauma systems, principles of teaching and learning, and quality management. This position will also prepare and maintain the hospital for ACS verification and State designation as a level II trauma center.

Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications Required:
Current or temporary RN license in ND or compact RN licensure. Verified as an Advanced trauma course provider (ATCN, TNCC, FNATC, or TNS). Instructor preferred. Membership in professional trauma organizations.
Educational Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN required; MSN preferred. Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10, AIS, and ISS coding, preferred. A minimum of 16 hours of external trauma-related continuing education per year. Must complete the American Trauma Society - Trauma Program Management Course within one (1) year of hire, and the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine AAAM/AIS scoring class during the next availability.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience as an RN, trauma or critical care preferred. Leadership/management skills, preferred. Excel and Microsoft Office applications proficiency.
