Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for visits by obtaining vital signs, updating medical histories, and assisting with rooming in accordance with clinic protocols.
- Perform delegated clinical tasks such as point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and documentation within scope of practice.
- Maintain exam rooms, clinical equipment, and supply levels to ensure readiness and efficiency for daily patient care activities.
- Support scheduling, referrals, and coordination of care by communicating with patients, providers, and internal departments.
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record while maintaining compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with general clinic operations, including stocking supplies, supporting workflow needs, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- Current North Dakota State registration as UAP Medical Assistant Registration or certification as a Medication Assistant III by ND Board of Nursing
- CPR certification required within orientation period
- Ongoing Point of Care certifications as required for department
Educational Requirements:
- N/A
Experience Requirements:
- One year or more of MA experience preferred
- Clinic experience preferred
- Coding experience preferred
