Under the supervision of the Neurodiagnostic coordinator or Neuro Tech II performs otoacoustic, electroencephalogram, and/or evoked potentials studies on all those served by this department including neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. A Neuro Tech I performs electroencephalograms and other neurodiagnostic tests on critically ill patients and in intensive care units.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Licenses and Certifications Required
Registration or eligible for registration in EEG or EP by ABRET is highly recommended.
Basic Life Support (CPR) required within 30 days of hire.
Educational Requirements
Graduate of an accredited END technology program or equivalent formal training is highly recommended.
Experience Requirements
6 months of experience in EEG or neurodiagnostic testing
