Description
Responsible for administration of the Cardiac Sonography Program and its accreditation status granted by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP). Responsible for the tuition and internship agreements with academic and clinical affiliate institutions. Coordinates didactic and clinical education, instructs units of curriculum, directs student recruitment and selection. Chairs the Advisory Committee, supervises faculty, certifies student completion of prescribed course of study.

Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications Required
- ARDMS Certification
- NDMIRT state license
Educational Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor academic degree
- Graduate of a program accredited by a mechanism recognized by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
- Possesses the appropriate professional credential(s) specific to the program concentration offered
- Completed coursework in instructional methodologies, evaluation and assessment
Experience Requirements
- Documented equivalent of three years full time professional experience as a sonographer
- Documentation of minimum of two years' experience as an instructor in and accredited Cardiac Ultrasound program
Special Skills or Training Requirements
- Experience and proficiency in curriculum design and development, program administration, instruction, academic evaluation and counseling.
