- POSITION SUMMARY
- The Home Nurse-Respiratory Tech is responsible for providing instruction, assessment, follow-up and on call services to patients using respiratory equipment, such as apnea monitors, oxygen, etc. in the home setting. The Home Nurse-Respiratory Tech provides care for patients in the following groups: infant, children, adolescent, adult and geriatric. The Home Nurse-Respiratory Tech is also responsible for occasionally delivering and providing instruction to customers receiving other items of durable medical equipment. The Home Nurse-Respiratory Tech also participates in formal, as well as informal marketing of all products and services provided by KeyC are Medical.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
- Current or temporary nursing license in ND or compact nursing licensure OR must be Certified Respiratory Therapist by NBRC and licensed in ND.
- Current ND or other state drivers license, required.
- Educational Requirements
- Nursing or CRT program as evidenced by licensure.
- Experience Requirements
- Special Skills or Training Requirements
- Ability to apply principles of learning to age specific group.
- Ability to apply principles of pathophysiology and treatment in areas of expertise to age specific group.
- Good understanding of medical guidelines for home oxygen use and diseases relating to respiratory care, preferred.
- Minimum of ten hours of continuing education credits required annually per respiratory requirements.
