EMS INSTRUCTOR ADVANCED

- POSITION SUMMARY
- The EMS Instructor (Advanced) will be assigned duties relative to all areas of EMS education and will be responsible to the EMS Education Coordinator for carrying out such duties.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
- Nationally Registered Paramedic
- Eligible for EMT-P license in North Dakota - must obtain within 90 days
- AHA Instructor of CPR/ACLS/PALS - must obtain within 90 days
- Incident Command certification in North Dakota, preferred
- PHTLS Instructor, preferred
- Educational Requirements
- EMT-Paramedic, as evidenced by licensure
- Experience Requirements
- Must have appropriate medical or allied health education, training, and experience
- Knowledge about methods of instruction, testing, and evaluation of students
- Must have field experience in the delivery of out-of-hospital emergency care
- Must be knowledgeable on current national curricula, national accreditation, national registration, and the requirements for state certification or licensure
- Special Skills or Training Requirements
- Computer experience required
- Microsoft Office experience preferred
- Ability to work with a wide variety of people
- Knowledge of current trends, developments, and concepts in pre-hospital care
